Laura and Pete Trash The Dress

On my second Trash The Dress photo shoot I had the pleasure of working with Laura and Pete (and Thunder too)!
Laura and I went over several ideas for her TTD session and decided to do a mixture of Urban and Natural pictures. She wanted something that would reflect her beautiful smile and the thrill of getting dirty in a yucky swamp with snakes :)
I think we got all of it and more!
Laura and Pete, I hope you enjoy your pictures, it was truly a great experience working with you both and I had a blast doing them for you!

Trash your wedding dress???

For those of you who have not heard about this and are wondering "what the hell is wrong with these girls?", well let me try and explain a little bit about this new phenomenon!
The description from TrashTheDress.com states:
"Why? … Why not? You’ve made a commitment to your husband. He’s your one and only true love, right? Then you’ll never need the dress again. And no, your daughter won’t wear it in 20-30 years. So you have two choices:
1) Suffocate it in plastic and throw it in a closet
2) Show your husband how committed you are by trashing the dress, and get some great fun pictures while you do it!"

So here we have Jenna. Brave brave Jenna who not only rolled around in the dirt, wrestled with her dogs and climbed a tree. But she got into the smelliest river EVER! Here are a few pictures of Jennas Trash the Dress session with me!

Impromptu Destination Wedding!

While on our honeymoon in Tulum Mexico (about 2 hours south of Cancun) we met a couple at the resort we were staying at who were getting married. Andrea and Doug are from St.Louis and are a GREAT couple! We had so much meeting and hanging out with them and their friends. One night Andrea and I got to talking about wedding photography and she mentioned how she wasn't sure about using a resort photographer, well the next thing you know I am voluntering to take her wedding pictures. I am so glad I did! I had a fantastic time shooting their wedding :) And even though we were on our honeymoon, it made our trip even better knowing that I could do something for them that they will never forget!
Congratulations Andrea and Doug! I hope you enjoy your pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!

JUST MARRIED!

Been a while...

Whew, this has been a busy few weeks for me! First of all I would like to announce that I am now married :) My husband (Wally) and I were married on August 25th, 2007 and I am now Jennifer Badalamenti!!
Stay tuned though, I have some great new pictures to post...Just a little preview, when we were on our honeymoon in Tulum Mexico we met a great couple (Andrea and Doug) who got married at the resort we stayed at, long story short I ended up shooting their wedding for them and I am almost done editing their pictures! I will post some of those ASAP!! I have also been getting into Trash The Dress, I will post some pictures I did of Jenna very soon. She was awesome to work with and her pictures turned out so great!
This is all very exciting and I have so much to say, so stay tuned!!
